My lesson on Saturday was great. We worked hard on the flat – posting trot with only one stirrup, extended trot with no stirrups, two point, collected trot, canter with no stirrups, etc. Stampede really seems to enjoy when we mix things up on the flat, and I do as well. He gets nice and soft in the bridle and makes my ride easier.
Moved on to jumping and did both a hunter and equitation course. I had one bad distance on my equitation course when I tried to become too picky and quiet to the second fence, but both of my roll backs were great. Hunter course went well too.
Got done too late on Saturday to ride P before my hair appointment so he worked today instead. We did a nice flat in the field and I worked on my two point for the challenge. Afterwards we went on a trail ride with Christie and Alexis.
Mr. P wanted to prove that he is handsome and shiny right now too, even if he is looking a bit chubby. 🙂
After I finished taking care of the boys Christie and I went to the local tack shop to check out the last day of their fall sale. Managed to score Jessica an IRH helmet for 50% off and myself an Ovation monocrown bridle for 20% off. Plus I used up the gift certificate Gary got me for my birthday so I didn’t spend much. Always awesome! Can’t wait to try it on Stampy tomorrow.
