Ouch! and cute ponies

Perfect!

So last Saturday I had an okay lesson, definitely not great. Stampede was irritable on the flat with all the people in the ring and strong for my courses. I missed to a fence then he continued to be upset with me.  Afterwards it was warm so I wanted to wash Stampede’s leg crusts and clip the hair around them. In the process he was being paranoid in the grooming area and rammed my arm with his hip. We hit just right and my arm swelled up. My husband made me go for an x-ray but nothing was broken. Here are pictures.

The drag for the tractor at the barn had issues, so riding Monday and Tuesday was no fun. I only trotted because the ground was way too hard in spots. Wednesday I got my hair cut so no riding. Got on Stampy Thursday and had a nice flat. Had my usual good time with Phoenix Friday and even jumped him over a couple tiny x’s which he loved. My lesson was much better with Stampede yesterday. He was more relaxed on the flat and good jumping. He was still getting pissy at the other horses nearby when we were jumping, but at least we made it around the courses.

Rode Phoenix again today and he was awesome. I got a prescription from the vet for Stampede’s permanent  back leg crusts and these before and after pics are after just ONE day of treatment. I am amazed and hopeful.

Planning to do a flat lesson with my friend Christie Wednesday, so looking forward to that. Now to finish with pictures of cute ponies.

Glad you weren’t hurt. I’ve bruised myself on hue before too. Glad the medicine is working! That’s incredible.
