This weekend we had another B rated show at the barn. My focus on getting Stampede extra responsive to my leg on the flat really paid off in the ring. We were back to having to slow down in the lines and as an added bonus he was getting less snarky when I would ask him to move forward in the corners.
Most of my classes had at least 10 people in them, so I was very happy with my placings. Almost all of my classes were in the novice adult category, which has a 2’6″-2’9″ height. In the hunters Stampede got two fourths and a second over fences and a 2nd on the flat. In equitation over fences we got a 2nd, and in the Low adult medal we got third after a test on the flat. I hate when medal tests are on the flat because I think I just look better over fences, plus I know Stampede can do all of the items they can ask for. That said, he was really good in the flat section and really gave me the chance look my best.
Now for some pictures!
Stampede is scheduled to get his second shockwave treatment tomorrow, which works well since I planned to give him a few days off after the show anyways.
Here’s hoping that my La Mundial boots I ordered at Rolex come soon and fit so I can say this was my last show in these old pull on boots!
He looks great braided!
Thanks. I always tell him he cleans up well!
Congrats on a good show!
Thank you!
Sounds like a really great show for you two! Congrats on the ribbons!
It really was, thanks!
Great show! He looks lovely braided.
Thanks!
Nicely done!
Thank you!
I don’t think that you are making an ugly face. I just see your “what was that?” face. Lol
Except it was after my flat and he was good. I think it’s some kind of it’s hot and I got no break after jumping face, lol.
