Pony time

Jessica came out to ride Mr P while I rode Stampede on Sunday. We got over to the ring and there were more people than usual again. I much prefer my quiet rides on week nights and Saturday afternoons. Not sure why all the craziness on Sundays lately!

The boys don’t share mom well, lol.

Stampede and I had a pretty good ride. He gave me some great trot work. A very long relaxed stride, pushing from behind. His canter was a little rougher, since he didn’t want to relax through his back as much. Finally got what I was looking for and called it a day.

P on the other hand was having a rough day. It got really cold again and the ground froze really unevenly since it had been mud so he was footsore all over again. I’m wondering if I should invest in some hoof boots, but I know nothing about picking the correct model for different hoof sizes. Would love some advice! If spring would just come my issues would go away!

I’m trying to decide if I have the time and energy to show this coming weekend. There is an indoor show at the barn and I would love to do it but I have to work 65 hours this coming week. I also know how much Stampede hates the schooling for indoors shows, he does no share his personal space well. We shall see.

In other news, baby Juneau got her first full haircut and she got a special St. Patrick’s Day bow in her hair. I’m sorry but she is the cutest baby ever!
