Recovery

Not only am I free from the chains of tax season now, but Stampede jumped his first full course in months last Wednesday. He was much better than expected, quiet and happily forward, just the way I wanted him to be.

Otherwise, I’ve been getting some rides in outside, which is amazing. The boys got their shots on Tuesday and their teeth done on Friday. This coming week they will get their feet done and their Adequan injections and they will be feeling extra good!

I’ve been spending my free time riding, cleaning (horse stuff and home stuff), and hanging out with all the people I have been working too much to see in months. Saturday I went to Columbus with my friend Christie for a tack swap (more like tack trade in). I got rid of a bunch of old stuff, coming up with $187 in credit. I then purchased some Keratex hoof gel, new stirrup leathers, and some new pillow wraps. Yes I buy expensive stirrup leathers, but they last so much longer!

While in Columbus we met up with another friend and her husband for lunch and to see the house they are buying. It was a good day. We got back around 6:30 then headed to the barn to see the horses.

Lastly, I have one item left that I haven’t sold that I wanted to offer more widely. It is a Fleeceworks Perfect Balance half pad and some of the inserts (purchased separately). It is the upgraded version of wool, I know they now sell a cheeper version. I paid over $300 between the pad and inserts. I do love the pad, but I no longer need anything with inserts. I’m sure there is someone out there who would love it too! Open for offers on this great pad!

I’m hoping that I will now be able to post more frequently since things will be less hectic.

Plan for the week:

Monday – Ride P

Tuesday – Lesson on Stampede with a little jumping

Wednesday – Ride P

Thursday – Ride Stampy

Friday – Ride P

If I have time I will double up a ride somewhere in there. Hope everyone has a good week!
