That feeling you get when you are cantering along in perfect harmony. Last night I was riding out in the field, tracking right, and there it was. Stampede was forward on his own, balanced, powerful, relaxed, and so happy. No adjustments needed, just sit there and enjoy. These moments of perfection are so rare, and I didn’t want to stop. Floating.
Stampede also had a good lesson on Tuesday. He was quite lazy on the flat, but he jumped well. I even managed not to mess up our equitation course. It was a very humid night, very sticky. I ended up putting my tiny anti-sweat sheet on him after my lesson and he looked quite silly. Don’t worry, I had already ordered a new Stampy sized one.
P’s been good as well, and I’ve ridden in the field every night this week other than my lesson on Tuesday. I’m planning to ride in the field tonight as well. It’s perfect spring weather right now, high of 70 today.
Big Stampy in a tiny coat 😉
Yay for good rides they make up for everything.
